Each year during the 12th lunar month, Hsing Tian Kong prepares talismans for the Tai Sui general in charge of mortal affairs during the coming year, and the faithful may take these and set them out in the home or one's place of work to bring protection and good luck for the new year.
Please come to the temple office in any of the three Hsing Tian Kong temples in the last lunar month of a year. After receiving your talisman, proceed to the statues of the Five Saviors and reverently report the information of you and your family, including address, the name of your head of family, and the names, ages, and birth dates of everyone in your family who needs to placate this year's Tai Sui general. Then, you may pray and seek for good fortune and peace throughout the upcoming year.
Included in the Tai Sui red envelope is a set of instructions regarding the proper procedure for placating and thanking the Tai Sui general. Please follow the instructions.
